The Ideal World show went off well. It was part of the Kilmainham Inchicore Festival (KI-FEST), and there were family events on nearby which brought a lot of people through the hall where we had the exhibition. A lot of people also came to see the exhibition itself. We raised a few bob for a couple of charities from sales and covered our expenses. The venue is great for exhibitions. At first glance you mightn't think so but actually plain white walls in galleries have only been around since the 1950's. In the 19th century they were usually red and before that they were a greenish grey colour. Chairs in galleries used to be the done thing too, now you might only see them if there's some video art. The wall lamps give the place a nice warm atmosphere.
